I liked this book so much! My friend recommended it and said it was amazing when we were in the school library one day. It was a not the kind of book that I imagined at all. Honestly, I thought it was going to be a paranormal, well, vampire book. I had passed my vampire obsession so I wasn't really up for another vampire book. This book had nothing to do with vampires or paranormal stuff. It was like serious stuff. Complicated stuff. Unanswered questions. Like actually believable, realistic.

I absolutely loved the characters. Carter is like OMG. Why was Sylvian even an option?! The part after the skinny dipping was cute and when Carter helped her out of the horrible situation (you have to read to to get it, it's and A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! part).
A fun fact is that the book is inspired by the Bullingdon Club at Oxford University. Some of you may better know it as the Riot Club which is the film based on the play Posh based on the Club. The film stars Max Irons (Red Riding Hood, The White Queen), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Love Rosie), and, Douglas Booth (LOL, Romeo and Juliet). Shouldn't get off track now. The members of the secret club belong to wealthy families or notabilities, royalties, politicians and business men. The book, you will find, is much more interesting than that though. Enjoy!
Plot Summary:
Allie's world is falling apart...
She hates her school. Her brother has run away. She's just been arrested. Again. And now her parents are sending her away. But instead of hating boarding school, Allie is happy. And there is Carter, a brooding loner with whom she feels an instant connection. Cimmeria Academy is no ordinary school. Her classmates - and maybe some of the teachers - are hiding a secret. And soon it begins to feel like a very dangerous place...
Favourite Quote:
'He stood so close to her that she could feel his breath on her cheek. He smelled of spice and coffee'
I don't know why, but this quote has just stuck in my head since, for no particular reason.
My Rating:
9/10
